President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visits Kosshy village

During this work-related trip, the Head of State has inspected the condition of engineering and transport infrastructure, examined the local water intake station. The President was informed about the execution of the order to solve the problems of water and electricity.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has also visited the Koshkarbayev public school 1. When talking to the teachers and students, the Head of State stressed that Kazakhstan put in place all the necessary arrangements for having quality education.

Noting the positive dynamics of population upsurge in the village, the President pointed out that this situation should not adversely affect the living standards of citizens. Special focus was on the measures taken to solve the problem of three-shift schools.

- We know this problem well and are planning to build a school for 1200 places in the village of Kosshy. Relevant funds have already been allocated. This matter is under my control, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

The Head of State pointed to the discrepancy between the official population and the actual number of residents of the community.

- According to statistics, the village is designed for 16 thousand people to live in, and in fact there are more than 50 thousand. This puts a heavy burden on the region’s social sphere. We discussed this issue with the regional authorities, we will systematically solve it, the President of Kazakhstan said.

Following the trip, the Head of State gave specific instructions to the Cabinet and Akimat of Akmola region to eliminate deficiencies and further develop the settlement.
